Boutique Guided Travel

"Your Adventure of a Lifetime!"

Small Groups, Big Quality

Oxford defines boutique as "small and offering services of a high quality to a small number of customers." That is Band of Tours.

We prioritize your personal experience, hosting just two to five clients per guided tour. Or, if you prefer to travel on your own and just want some guidance, we can help with that, too.

Our superpowers

  • fully-customized itineraries
  • small groups for personal attention
  • "on-the-fly" flexibility
  • a website documenting your tour
  • 10+ years of tour guiding experience
Randy's deep historical knowledge enabled us to see–not only well-known sites–but many other locations off the beaten path, something a standard tour would not include...

Your Dream Sites, Not Ours

We plan around your interests, not a fixed bus schedule. Give us a theme, or a handful of "must-see" places, and we'll curate your trip from our proprietary database (over 1,900 GPS coordinates in France alone). We are flexible, adjusting each day "on-the-fly" as necessary. If you love a site and want an extra half hour there, we'll adjust the rest of day. That's impossible on big tours.

From taking grandmas in their 80s on a leisurely Canadian Maritimes "Anne of Green Gables" tour, to galloping across Europe with 20-somethings and seeing over 80 World War II sites in two days— we've already done it, so we can build the trip that you want!

Your Schedule, Not Ours

Our tour director retired in 2025 (from his software job, not from tour directing!), so we don't list dates. We'll work with you to figure out a schedule that works for both of us.

Your Price, Not Ours

You even have some cost control! Prices are dictated by trip length, destination, and dining habits. Our "typical" cost is $6,250 as of now for double-occupancy on a two-week European trip (payment installments; discounts for single payment). That includes airfare from the USA, transportation in Europe, lodging, admissions, and guide fees. Spend what you want on food (breakfasts sometimes included; not always). There are no hidden fees. No pressure to buy from locals, like happens on many tours.

Your Memories Preserved

We take photos of you enjoying the tour, then include them on our SeeOurTrip website, documenting each day, showing the sites on a map, and providing informative notes. See an example with our 2017 Europe trip. This puts your own photos in context and is especially helpful for recalling historical details about a site. Note: You can keep your trip private, requiring a login to view it.

Every photo on this page was taken on our tours. If you see it here, we’ve stood there!

Whether it’s Monet’s Giverny estate outside of Paris, the majestic cathedrals of Reims, York, or Aachen, the ruins of Rome, the palaces of London, or the World War I trenches of Verdun—if it's on your bucket list, we can make it happen. Just let us know what you're interested in!
